Anita Finlay is an author, actor, blogger and speaker.
Her book, DIRTY WORDS ON CLEAN SKIN, shares the untold story of Hillary’s 2008 campaign, exposing media sexism in a society not as evolved as advertised. “The book tells it like it is for women aspiring to power.” #1 on Amazon’s Women in Politics best sellers list for 16 weeks.
Anita Finlay’s acting career, primarily in television, has spanned more than twenty-five years and is still going strong. Series you may have seen her in include: “Perception,” “Castle,” “Brothers and Sisters,” “24,” “Hannah Montana,” “Boston Legal,” “Gilmore Girls,” “Six Feet Under,” “The Division,” “For Your Love,” and “Judging Amy.” She is best known for her seven-year stint on “The Young and the Restless” as Dr. Nora Thompson, and has starred in many feature films such “Two Voices,” “Alternate Endings ”and “Visions of Murder.”
An ongoing commentator for The Jerry Doyle Show and writer for EPIC TIMES, Anita’s articles have also been featured on Real Clear Politics, MemeOrandum, MediaBistro/DC Fishbowl, xoJane, and Knoxville Journal. She is often an Editors’ Choice on BlogHer and on the writing staff of The New Agenda.
Anita has had the honor of speaking before variety of groups including: MENSA, NAPW, the VFA, Women’s Leadership Forum, NOW, USC and Pasadena City College, where DIRTY WORDS ON CLEAN SKIN is part of the curriculum.
A native New Yorker, Anita lives in Los Angeles with her husband David and their two furry children, Caruso and Smidge.
